Big + bulky delivery
Big items need a better receiving plan.
Connect load size, vehicle fit, handling and destination access in one delivery request. Larger material should not be treated like a parcel with a longer address label.

Load profile
Define the load before choosing the vehicle.
Provide the number of pieces, dimensions, approximate weight, packaging and whether the load is palletized. Identify items that cannot be stacked or must stay in a particular orientation.
The appropriate vehicle depends on more than total weight. Shape, loading method, protection and the receiving environment can all change the fit. Choose “Let Signal determine” when you need the vehicle class reviewed against the material.

UNLOADING PLAN
Handling support
Loading and unloading deserve their own plan.
Describe the people and equipment available at pickup and delivery. A dock, forklift, pallet jack or liftgate-related requirement affects how material can move between the vehicle and receiving point.
Do not treat equipment as a vehicle class. The request should connect both: the transport capacity and the handling support needed for the job. Availability and suitability are confirmed, not inferred from a checked box.
Receiving space
Account for the space around the load.
Site access, turning space, height restrictions, uneven surfaces and the distance to the receiving location may influence the delivery approach. For inside requests, include doorway and elevator details where relevant.
A bulky load can be appropriate for a branch, commercial site, property or final-customer handoff. The receiving conditions, rather than a generic service label, determine what should be reviewed.
INSIDE REQUEST
RECEIVING RECORD
Handoff evidence
Retain the evidence of the handoff.
Use the agreed proof requirements to connect the material, receiving point and completion record. When handling conditions differ from the request, keep the issue visible to the team responsible for the next action.
Signal’s role is to coordinate a workable delivery response around these requirements. The plan should be understandable to the customer and the professionals carrying the load through each stage.

Do I need to choose a truck?
No. You can ask Signal to review vehicle fit. Provide material and handling details so the review has a useful starting point.
Is a liftgate the same as unloading service?
No. A liftgate is an equipment requirement. People, surface conditions and movement beyond the vehicle still need to be considered separately.
Prepare the request
Tell us what makes this move different.
Share size, weight, packaging, access and handling needs. Include unknowns rather than guessing the equipment.
